Minutes of the General Meeting

REPORTS:

Past President’s Report:  Nothing to report.

Treasurer’s Report:  The report was sent out by e-mail to the membership.  It is to be approved by the membership before it is submitted to the Alberta Government.

Motion:  Steve Irwin moved and Brian Davies seconded that the treasurer’s report be approved.  The motion was carried.

V.P.’s Report:  Nothing to report.

Mountain Tour Chairman’s Report:  Richard said that The Mountain Tour Account contains about the same amount of money as it did last year at this time.

Newsletter Editor:  Steve thanked those who made wrote articles for the newsletter.  Articles about the Blanket Glacier Chalet and Fryatt Hut trips will be in next month’s Newsletter.

Webmaster:  Brian would like those who have changed their e-mail addresses to send him an e-mail with their new addresses. 

Publicity Director:  Nothing to report.

Social Director:  Thanks to the bringers of snacks (Townells and Davies) for tonight’s meeting.  Bower Kin Hall has been booked for the season’s final general meeting.

Day Trip Chairman:  Nothing to report.

NEW BUSINESS

Executive Turnover:  The Treasurer, Secretary and Social Director positions are to be filled for next season.  Dick, as Treasurer stated that he would be willing to carry on for another year if no one else comes forward to take the position.  Claude and Pat would like replacements for their positions.  If anyone is interested, speak to Vance or any of the executive.

Entertainment:  Chic Scott gave a very interesting presentation on the life of Hans Gmoser and his impact on mountaineering and heli skiing.  There was a good turnout for the show.
